  • The Severn Bridge spans the river Severn between Chepstow and Aust (England) and is the link between Jenny Cooper's home and her work as a coroner in the 'Severn Vale' and Bristol.

  • The Severn Estuary has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world, rising 15 metres from lowest to highest tide. The River Severn, the longest river in Britain, empties through it into the Bristol Channel. Along its south side there are four nuclear power stations. The outlines of Berkeley and Oldbury can be seen here in the distance.
